Our First Think Tank

We held our first annual Think Tank within the Palais de Tokyo’s newly opened art education space, the Hamo, on a chilly October morning before Paris+ by Art Basel’s opening. Despite the chill in the air (and in the room), our discussion was often red-hot, exploring in-depth ways the Palais de Tokyo and our members’ institutions sought to engage their respective audiences and adapt to the challenges of the 21st century.

Joined by the president of the Palais, Guillaume Désanges, the vice-president, Marianne Berger Laleix, as well as our director of external affairs, Michael Schischke, our International Board engaged with issues at the heart of our institution – among others, how to most effectively serve an underserved public.

Our time together positively flew by, before Guillaume offered us an unprecedented insight into the Palais’s upcoming initiatives – exhibitions, programming, and international projects. You can download his presentation here.

Following our Think Tank, we held our International Board luncheon in the Palais de Tokyo’s splendid Monsieur Bleu. I do not believe the word “convivial” even begins to describe the shared joy and exchange we had during the Think Tank and the meal, but I do hope it is only the first of many more to come.
